First International Trip for Coach Andrea in the book!

2011 Boys US National Team.

Our coach Andrea, Technical Director of the FC Roma Futsal Academy, has just returned from his first international futsal trip with U.S. Youth Futsal (USYF). Andrea was selected as Head Coach of the U.S. 2011 Boys National Team, and during the holiday period he traveled to the UK (Manchester and London) to compete in international matches against local futsal teams.

The results were very impressive, with a 4–0 record, 48 goals scored, and only 3 conceded. While the overall level of futsal in the UK was unfortunately not comparable to the level currently seen in the U.S., allowing Andrea’s team to win all four matches comfortably, the experience was extremely valuable. It provided the players with important learning opportunities, not only through training sessions but also through the matches themselves, where they were able to develop key skills beyond the technical and tactical aspects of the game.

In 2026, the USYF National Team ID event will be held in Richmond, Virginia. This will give FC Roma Futsal Academy the opportunity to send more players to be evaluated and potentially selected to take part in this incredible experience.
